Offered here is an original stone lithograph printed on fine art paper in an edition of 175. This is print number 53 as marked lower left. Signed lower right by the French artist Claude Gaveau (1940-2021). The title is “Quietude” and depicts an abstract image of a nude reclining woman in a vivid color palette. It measures 28 x 32 inches as framed in matte black wood with a gallery-quality UV-blocking acrylic face. The condition is very good, with some age toning as would be expected in a vintage (undated) print.

Gaveau attended the School of Applied Arts of Paris in 1955 and the National Superior School of Fine Arts of Paris in 1960. In 1963 received a scholarship to the Academy of Antwerp, Belgium. His first solo exhibition was at the Galerie l’Angle Aigu in Brussels in 1965.
