Collection: Gus Crain

Gus Crain is a recent graduate of The Cooper Union Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture. He currently practices architecture, art, and printmaking in New York, where he also co-instructs an advanced seminar at The Cooper Union on architectural representation through printmaking techniques. Crain’s architectural thesis focused on suburban strip malls, proposing design interventions to adapt these structures to better serve the evolving needs of the communities they inhabit. The thesis was executed as a series of graphite drawings, combined with new digital drawing techniques that he continues to refine in his personal drawing practice.
